Alpha Omega

Alpha Omega RPG (Atomic Array 012)

We discovered Alpha Omega, the post-apocalyptic cyberpunk horror game from Mind Storm Labs, back in April. We were immediately impressed, both by the production values and the content of the core book. Ever since AA001, we've been trying to get creators David Carter and Earl Fischl on the show. Finally, they're here! Mind Storm President, Tom McLaughlin, also joined in the conversation.

New World Science & Engineering Commission (NWSEC): The Alpha Omega community site has a setting wiki, a collaboration section where players and GMs can rub shoulders, an internet player finder, and much more. You can even follow the ongoing exploits of NWSEC field operatives, such as the intrepid Roger Traffler.

Pathfinder

Pathfinder (Atomic Array 011)

The State of the Pathfinder Empire! This is our biggest episode yet - 90 minutes on Paizo's popular campaign setting, organized play society and the upcoming Pathfinder RPG. If you're thinking about getting into Pathfinder, or just want an update on where Pathfinder stands, this episode is a must-listen.

James Jacobs gives background on Pathfinder Chronicles, and the goods on Legacy of Fire, Paizo's fourth Pathfinder Adventure Path. Learn about Jason and the Bulmahnauts, Golarion's genies, the City of Brass and Golarion's Dark Continent. We also talk about the unique advantages of the Pathfinder Subscription.

Joshua Frost gets us excited about Pathfinder Society Organized Play, Paizo's world-wide campaign in the Pathfinder Chronicles setting. Join one of the factions embroiled in a shadow war for control of Absalom, the City at the Center of the World. Join Season Zero and help Paizo playtest the Society system, and learn about what's coming in Season One. Where to start, download a copy of the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play (FREE). Josh spills the beans about a surprise con Paizo may be running next summer. FrostiCon? And if you're an aspiring freelancer, you'll learn what you need to know in order to submit to Paizo's Open Calls.

Jason Bulmahn gives us an update on the Pathfinder RPG. It's amazing how much support the Paizo community is giving during the RPG playtest. The sheer volume of input is astonishing - hats off to Jason for staying on top of it all. Find out what's going to be in the final version of this massive (550 page!) tome. Are you a third-party publisher, thinking about releasing Pathfinder RPG material next year? Make sure you get in touch with Jason. And don't be shy - tell people about it!

My Pick: The Sword and The Sorcerer

We wrap up the Kobold Quarterly give away, and tell you how you can win one of six $50 credits good in the Paizo Online Store. Don't forget, you still have a week to enter the Shadows of Cthulhu give away.

21st-Jul-2008 03:28 am - Reign of Discordia (Atomic Array 002)
me
Rone and I released episode two of Atomic Array, our new podcast, on Friday. This time, we featured Darrin Drader's Reign of Discordia, from RDP. RoD is a new space opera setting inspired by the space-pop shows that started taking off since the late 70s. Great fun.

This episode's pink: Amin Bhatia's Interstellar Suite.
This episode's rant: Mars and the space program.

By the way, not only are we giving away two color print copies of the Reign of Discordia book, but we're also dishing out $25 to four lucky winners. Head over to Atomic Array.com to find out how to enter.

The response from Episode One rocked, by the way. Richard from Rogue Games was kind enough to let me know that he saw a definite uptick in traffic on their site after we released our episode on Colonial Gothic

me
It’s the 4th of July, and I'm celebrating by launching a new podcast with Rone Barton. Entitled Atomic Array, it's about the games we love to play. In the first episode, we speak with Richard Iorio of Rogue Games.

Visit the Atomic Array website: atomicarray.com

I had a great time speaking with Richard, and hope you enjoy the show. Feel free to leave a comment on the site, share Atomic Array with a friend, or contact us directly. In fact, we’d love to hear what you think about Colonial Gothic. Tell us what you like (or don’t), and what you’d like to see from Rogue Games in the future.

Atomic Array gets a nod from GeekDads on WIRED: John Baichtal was kind enough to pimp Atomic Array over at WIRED. Read the article, in which he lists a bunch of killer geekcasts.

Help Get the Word Out: If you have an account on del.icio.us, Digg, StumbleUpon, or any social bookmarking site... please give us a nod. Thanks in advance!
